In Two Lords you plan the role of a white magic lord imprisoned in a dungeon by his brother, the lord of black magic, who wants to gain control of all natural magic. This is a quite straightforward level-based, "find the exit", first person shooter, with minimal puzzle elements mostly consisted of finding a specific hidden location inside a level. The game is split in 3 episodes, and each episode includes six levels (acts). Every level features a secondary mission you can solve, which then effects the story illustrations that follow its completion. The player starts the game equipped with a white ring which shoots weak white orbs, but as you progress you will find other rings which feature more powerful magic. There are also many other magical items the player can find throughout the game. The game features cool developing story and illustrations (uneven in quality) that accompany it, but the very gameplay is somewhat limited and not much varied. Level design doesn’t feel very interesting, enemy AI could use some work, and many textures in the game don’t blend well. Also, a great deal of levels looks quite bland featuring a small number of different textures. Nevertheless, this type of though-out and long first person shooter is a novelty even outside our community, and an achievement to respect. Two Lords comes with moody and game theme suitable music, and nice sound effects. The full version should be released around February 2009.
