I've made a test track to tweak the physics... It's what I should have done for that kart game. Anyway, since Phychowelder joined with me, we have 5 vehicles and 3 tracks. Not to mention the awesome monster truck that FB-Dan made. I seriously think I'm going to scrap that first track I made though because it's just way to difficult. I'm not quite done with the new track, but it's very close. It just takes a lot of time to get everything in the right scale and tweak it to behave as expected. Wink

Anyway, here's a video of Phychowelder's Lancer_Evo running on the proving ground track. It's setup so that you can completely tweak the suspension and tire physics for each tire individually.

Hi !

Downloaded and tested your demo some days ago (well .. yesterday in fact) but I didn't express myself about it yet 'cause I didn't know what to say excepted already said things so ..

Well, 3D games always impress myself (uhuh the only time I tried to code a pseudo FPS with Open GL, it was horribly slow as I never understood how to sort objects in a 3Dworld) so my comment won't be really objective :p

Just wanted to say it looks awesome, physics seems a bit weird ^^ But that's awesome work

- wh.. what ? That's all?
- Yep ..

Good job Doc. The shadow artifacts are completely gone for me now. Most Excellent.

Thought, you should consider giving the vehicles some more weight.

Lachie, can you download this patch and test it please? http://file-pasta.com/file/502_Rally_DEMO.exe

Just replace the original with this one. Thanks. Smiley

Same thing. If I would have to guess, I would say you have problems with your car models, because the shadows seem to be ok in the environement. It's like the car model has holes or something.

Game runs pretty fine on my machine although it is not a high-end one, it is already 1 yr. old, and have integrated graphic card.

On 1024 x 768, with everything on and 16x antialiasing, except GLSL shaders (my graphic card does not support them), I get ~64 fps.

Shadows do some flickering sometimes, I suppose that it is because of that Intel GMA950...  Huh

Steering is a bit inappropriate according to my taste... Smiley

Good work...

Shadows are spinning around the wheel axis... But not like on Lachie's screen shot.
