Are you getting the same error above?

I've put it on google drive just in case:

Not as nice as my site, but if it works...

My entry is about as ready as it's going to get. It's still not finished, but I made sure to make it playable at least. I will upload it soon.

Taking longer to upload than I expected.. .oh well, I guess that's the consequence of a 112MB upload. :D

OK, it's ready.

I will put it in more places if anyone has any issues with this download link.

The file is 112MB and decompresses to 295MB. Yes, it's quite a download, and I hope it's worth it. Much of the size is the unaltered MP3 files directly from Imcompetech... I should have downsized them as .oggs but whaddyagunnado.

EDIT: Oops, forgot one of the source files.

Ok, time to wrap it up. Sorry, for the delay, terribly busy lately, slightly loosing my grip at work. :/

But, still here! :)

We have 4 valid entries in this year's competition and they are:

Oddyseasons by Landeel

Pyromax Dax by Relminator

Strangely enough, all platform games. To be honest, I expect slightly more, or at least, more varied entries, having in mind the highest cash prize ever, the longest lasting submission time (extended, none the less) and stimulating theme (at least in my mind).  In that sense sorry to see less innovative entries than I expected, as well as some that were in dev not making it, like Jonge's, DrD's or BadMrBox's. Nevertheless, those that made is boast with quality in many different aspects, as I had a chance to playtest demos or finished builds of all entries already. Looking forward to go through all of them in-depth and see how they stand overall. I'm sure each of them holds a smaller or larger positive surprise somewhere for me.

Hope too see WIP that was not submitted wrapped into something playable in the near future. Would hate to witness that work never seeing light of the day.

Anyway, will open up a poll in few minutes and try to find time to evaluate the official entries myself, this weekend.

It may be just a coincidence that they're all platformers. Because there were other genres between the games that did not get finished on time.

I did a platformer simply because I felt it was the best way to explore this theme.

I must say I couldn't really play Pyromax Dax yet. It didn't work correctly with wine, and it needs a few changes to compile for Linux, mostly case-sensitive filename issues. I'll try it on Windows or a Windows VM when I get home tonight.

But it seems to me the 4 games have very distinct gameplay.  And I think they're all top quality.

The main basis for my idea was to not only focus on the seasons but to also focus on holidays that happen in those seasons. I tried to make Spring about bunnies and flowers and Easter... and Easter eggs, of course. :) Summer is hot and people go to the beach, so I visited the concept of getting sunburned if you don't take precautions when you go to the beach in the summertime. Autumn was easy... Halloween, so witches and scarecrows and such... and flying on a broomstick. Winter, easy too... snow and ice and snowmen and Mrs Claus outfits. :) You just can't do a winter scene without slippery ice. I was thinking about doing an FF7-type "I'm freezing my butt off here!" aspect but ultimately decided against it. The area after the seasons is a glue device for the storyline. I had originally envisioned a final area that would make use of the four seasonal tools, but did not have time to implement it.

landeel: I enjoy playing Oddyseasons, but I think the game is to long to finish in one go. Have you considered to have some savegame slots or just saving the last played game?
