How many of you have ever thought, "What if we want back in time and killed Hitler before the Holocaust?"  I'm sure that thought's crossed all of our minds at least once.  But here's a thought that probably hasn't - Hitler's the one who came back in time, and before he did, no one even knew what Nazi was.  I'm a time traveler, and Earth is the world I'm trying to prevent.

We long since migrated from our home planet, Terra.  Several years ago, a coup overthrew our society.  Utilizing recently discovered technologies, they destroyed any habitat which challenged them.  Their most recent experiments discovered an even greater power.  Time travel.  They sent their minions back in time to destroy our past and lay forth a path for a destructive future.

Their guinea pig planet?  Newly renamed Gaia.  Earth.  Eickel and Renebard's Testing Hub.

Thus came the Nazis.  The Crusades.  My world was a peaceful one.  What could have changed?  Yours is the world I hope never happens.  There's still hope.  I can change history.

This sounds cool man. It reminds me of a Twilight Zone episode I once saw. Plenty of room for dynamic game-play. Smiley

The idea that I can be presented with a problem, set out to logically solve it with the tools at hand, and wind up with a program that could not be legally used because someone else followed the same logical steps some years ago and filed for a patent on it is horrifying.

I would like to hear some gameplay details. Because without them, it's just a story, and fits to be a game as any other undeveloped in that direction.

Spoilers:

- Time traveling already happened.  The main character's universe is one that was edited by an alternate version of him (He's Dr. Eickel).

- Mars is Terra.  Earth is Gaia.  The moon is a weapon whose completion they managed to stop nearly as soon as it began being built (through spacial editing)
