The wife is way more comprehensive than the boss and the 2-years old daughter, actually.  ;)

I've had to put a few details to the side to make sure the game is finishable in the remaining time... it's completely playable as-is, but it doesn't end yet... it has an ending planned and dammit it's gonna make it in. :P

Well, I'm not going to make it. It's pretty much impossible. Sorry to come in so late and then beg for an extension. All that really did was delay the competition, I guess. On the bright side, I have gotten back into programming. My engine is almost complete now... where it was in terrible shape before this competition. Good luck to everyone who managed to finish.  :D

It's version 0.6c, I've not made any more changes. Thanks for playing and looking!

Shame Dr_D's won't be ready as the video made it look a lot of fun!

Not had another go on yours Landeel as my AthlonXP does not have sse2, i will find another pc in the week to have a go on it though!

The source is included, you can compile it without SSE2, but I think it will have slowdowns without it.

To anybody who has something worth sharing, PLEASE post your engines, tools, utilities, etc. on Github or some other file sharing service and post it in this thread if you think it's going to be OSS.

Dr_D:  You've lost code/engines in the past, right?

I would appreciate it if everyone would start working out of online repositories of some kind in case something ever happened to your personal computers.

It doesn't have to be public if you're not ready for a release.  DropBox versions your files and doesn't have to be shared with anyone.  Best of all, it automatically synchronizes files for you so you don't have to worry about it.

I'm just releasing my source code as per the compo requirements; I have no intentions of releasing the compo version source onto anything other than my own server. The code's messy and rushed due to the limited time allotment, so I really don't feel like spreading it around too much.

lol... I had an unfortunate mishap with a homebrew physics engine I programmed. I have never been that careless. I have no excuses either. I just borked that whole thing. That's part of what made me want to stop programming for a while. I'm over it now though... and I have my code backed up on 3 separate hard drives.  :P
