"A Love Letter To FreeBASIC" Game Dev Competition Community Poll (ROUND 1)

The first several times I played A Love Letter to FreeBASIC it ran fine, but more recently I sometimes get random crashes, always on start up or exit never during game play.  BASIC Warfare crashes when it can't connect (or stay connected) to a server.  The Secret Gallery crashes after it prints "Lode..."

The Secret Gallery, both executables?

Yes, all executables of The Secret Gallery so far crash, although the 'debug' build waits for me to press enter and also prints "Loading config file..." and "Creating viewport..." before the crash.  I also tried building the source with compile option -exx and got an index out of bounds error from the compiler on line 125 of puzzels.bas

I didn't know what to look for when evaluating the games, so I asked for help from an avid gamer friend of mine, supahdude11.  He doesn't know much about FreeBASIC other than I have helped a little bit with the compiler.  It was really enjoyable for me, to watch his enjoyment playing all the games.  My vote is based on his reaction.  Here's how he scored the games.
